Curator - Laura Mabutt

Laura is a creative professional ranging between curator, producer and artist. She has worked the creative industries for over 15 years working on projects in the UK and overseas. She spent 8 years curating projects and touring exhibitions for the National Centre for Craft & Design and more recently devised, produced and worked on Arts Council England funded projects, other commissioned projects as well as Creative People and Places projects for Transported Art. 

 

Laura creates community-engaged projects and stand-alone artworks and installations that allow diverse audiences to engage with the work. Having studied traditional crafts originally, she explores blending traditional handmade crafts with digital technologies, such as augmented reality to create interactive and immersive experiences.
