Living Landscape, The HopBarn

The HopBarn, a centre for contemporary culture in rural East Nottinghamshire, presented Living Landscape in Summer 2021 – an artist’s trail on the farmland.

The HopBarn’s rich landscape inspired eight contemporary artists and makers to create an outdoor arts trail - a fascinating cohesion of art and nature. Visitors walked the farmland as artworks along a trail told stories of trees, plants, stones, birds, and bees, of food and foraging. Each artwork encouraged visitors to discover meanings and memories and uncover their relationship with land in surprising ways. Living Landscape was conceived and curated by OMC founder Rebecca Blackwood and HopBarn producer Angie Atmadjaja.
